Senior cost control engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Control Engineer to lead cost planning, monitoring, and reporting across large-scale landscape and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role will play a key part in ensuring financial efficiency, budget compliance, and proactive cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts

Establish cost baselines aligned with project scope and contractual requirements

Support tendering teams with cost data, benchmarking, and historical analysis

Track project costs against budget and identify variances

Prepare periodic cost reports, including earned value analysis (EVA)

Monitor commitments, expenditures, and forecast final project costs

Support contract administration, including variations, claims, and change orders

Evaluate subcontractor payments and progress valuations

Assist in cost impact assessments for design changes and site conditions

Prepare detailed cost reports for internal management and clients

Coordinate with project managers, planning engineers, and procurement teams

Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project costs

Identify cost risks and propose mitigation strategies

Participate in value engineering initiatives to improve cost efficiency

Ensure cost control processes align with project objectives and timelines

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field

8–12 years of experience in cost control within construction projects

Proven experience in landscape, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects in Saudi Arabia

Strong knowledge of cost control systems, budgeting, and forecasting

Familiarity with contracts (FIDIC preferred) and commercial practices

Advanced proficiency in Excel and cost control/reporting tools (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, or similar)

Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills

Preferred Experience

Experience working on major projects (e.g., ROSHN, NHC, Qiddiya, or similar giga-projects)

Background in contractor or EPC environments
