Start on as soon as possible In home office (wheneverpossible) he/she shall cooperate with the project team forconstructability and feasibility studies, with APPAL for technicaltabulation of the civil bidders’ proposals and clarification meetingwith the bidders, with civil department to analyze/define the workrequisition to be included in the subcontractor scope of Work. Each supervisor reports tothe construction manager. He/she directssubcontractor activities for his own discipline, ensuring that plantconstruction works are performed according to the erection schedules andproject documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according toquality & safety procedures, as well as according to the terms andconditions of the subcontract. One or more assistants maysupport him/her. Duties and responsibilities Prior to the start ofworks, to check the supplier’s material and technical documentationdelivery schedule. Check that the same is inline with construction schedules and contractual commitments. Prior to the start ofworks, control and approve the method statements submitted by thesubcontractors ensuring their correct application on the field. He/she ensures theimplementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas oractivities (subcontractors) of responsibilities. He/she directlyparticipates to the HSE activities at site as defined for his positionin the site HSE plan and related procedures. To check that the saidschedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay. To check that the equipmentand manpower employed by the subcontractor are adequate and that theworks performed by the subcontractor conform to design documents, safetyregulations, and to the quality level fixed by the same. Perform inspections andsign the necessary certificates as per site inspection plans. To prepare thenon-conformity register for each subcontractor and coordinatenonconformity resolution. To detect any designerrors, and where possible rectify the same or request the Site engineerto make the necessary changes. To check Subcontractors’work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval. To assist the contractmanager/engineer in defining new prices, in preparing amendments tosubcontracts and in analyzing and discussing claims. Person Specification Knowledge & Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineeringcourses. Experience Minimum of 10 year's work experience. Significant experience in in a similar position on EPC Oil &Gas projects/ Refinery. Skills and Abilities Excellent communicationsand interpersonal skills. Attention to detail,management skills.
