Job Summary Structural Engineer - Design Services – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Industry: Civil Engineering. Full‑time position for a Saudi National engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in structural design review, design‑build submissions, contractor submittals, technical documentation, foundation design, and construction support for major infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Review project standards, specifications, drawings, calculations, design reports, and technical documents to confirm alignment with project objectives and approved requirements. Assess design‑build submissions, operating manuals, engineering documents, structural drawings, and technical deliverables for compliance with client specifications and project standards. Review contractor submittals, including materials, construction methodologies, subcontractor prequalification documents, technical proposals, and supporting documentation. Support the Lead Civil Engineer and Senior Structural Engineers in preparing, reviewing, and consolidating technical reports, investigations, root‑cause analyses, and engineering status reports. Assist with monitoring project budget, schedule requirements, scope compliance, design progress, and engineering deliverable commitments. Provide structural engineering support to multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, MEP, civil, construction, and project controls disciplines. Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to support timely delivery of design and engineering activities. Attend and witness inspections, testing, installation demonstrations, acceptance activities, and site verification works when required. Review and respond to Requests for Information related to structural engineering matters, technical discrepancies, construction interfaces, and design coordination issues. Provide technical support to construction sites and assist in resolving design‑related issues affecting quality, progress, safety, or constructability. Identify design discrepancies, documentation gaps, coordination conflicts, structural risks, and technical challenges. Evaluate engineering issues and recommend practical structural solutions based on design requirements, site conditions, codes, and construction constraints. Participate in safety meetings and review proposed materials, construction systems, installation methods, and field execution approaches. Support structural coordination for heavy civil works, foundations, retaining systems, transportation infrastructure, rail‑related structures, and associated civil assets. Maintain accurate records of review comments, technical decisions, inspection observations, action items, and design coordination outcomes. Help ensure structural deliverables reflect geotechnical inputs, foundation requirements, durability, maintainability, and project quality expectations. Ideal Profile Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. Saudi National candidate required. Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering design, structural review, construction methodologies, and technical coordination. Proven experience supporting the design and delivery of major heavy civil, infrastructure, transportation, rail, metro, or transit projects. Strong understanding of structural mechanics, structural engineering design practices, geotechnical engineering principles, and foundation design. Ability to review structural drawings, calculations, technical reports, design‑build submissions, contractor submittals, construction methodologies, and RFIs. Experience using structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD. Pro, Revit, CAD, WALLAP, Oasys Slope, TEDDS, Super STRESS, FEM, or similar tools. Familiarity with Auto CAD and related engineering design software is preferred. Experience working on rail, metro, transit, transportation infrastructure, bridges, foundations, retaining structures, or major civil works is advantageous. Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region is preferred. Familiarity with Saudi Building Codes, local regulations, and authority requirements is beneficial. Strong technical knowledge of engineering design software, construction practices, and industry best practices. Excellent analytical, coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Detail‑oriented approach with the ability to review complex documents and support timely technical decisions. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, clients, and project stakeholders.
