Senior infrastructure engineer

Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, configure and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments Manage Windows Server and/or Linux systems including patching, upgrades, performance tuning and troubleshooting Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware v Sphere ESXi, Hyper-V or equivalent technologies Support cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and related Microsoft infrastructure services Configure and maintain enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and coordinate with network and security teams when required Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity and performance and proactively address potential issues Implement infrastructure security standards, access controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation and patch management Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis Participate in high-availability, disaster recovery, migration, upgrade and infrastructure transformation projects Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures and operational standards Automate routine infrastructure activities using tools such as Power Shell, Bash, Python or infrastructure automation platforms Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers Work closely with application cybersecurity, network, database and cloud teams to ensure reliable service delivery Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change and configuration management Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/system engineering, including significant experience in enterprise environments. Strong hands‑on knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration. Strong experience with VMware, Hyper-V or similar virtualization technologies. Good knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access management. Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid-cloud infrastructure. Understanding of enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing. Experience with enterprise SAN/NAS storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions. Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools. Strong understanding of high availability, business continuity, security, and infrastructure best practices. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in business-critical environments. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCE, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL. Experience with infrastructure automation using Power Shell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash. Experience supporting large-scale, highly available enterprise environments. Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
